I don't have a lot about the Mecosta County branch of the family on my website, but you can learn more about the extended Rorick family there.

William S. Rorick was born 21 Aug 1861 in Chemung County, NY, the son of Estell Rorick and Marion Newhall. He married Cora Banfield (not Blanfield) in Mecosta County, MI 13 Jul 1886. There were other marriages between Roricks and Banfields in Mecosta County. The Banfields were also in Chemung County before moving to Mecosta County.
Estell Rorick was the son of Samuel W. Rorick and Hannah Moore, who were originally from Sussex County, NJ. Samuel W. Rorick was the son of Jacob Rorick and Elizabeth Wilson (Elizabeth's mother's maiden name was Estell, hence the use of Estell as a man's first name in the Rorick family).
A large number of Jacob and Elizabeth's children left New Jersey and emigrated west, first to Chemung and neighboring counties in New York, then to Michigan. The majority settled in Adrian County, MI, but Estell Rorick and Marion Newhall settled in Mecosta County, MI. They also left New York later than the family who went to Adrian County.
William and his family are in Mecosta County, MI in the 1900 census. I have not been able to locate them in the 1910 U.S. census and suspect that the may have already gone to Canada by then.
Please feel free to contact me directly if you'd like additional info about the Rorick family.
