I'm not related to the Six's but have many ancestors from the Stettler area. I have a copy of the Lakeview Cemetery and have added Franklin his wife Alice and their son Albert to findagrave.com. These plus an infant of Albert and his wife are all the Six's in Lakeview.

Good luck,

Colin

Thank you for your help. I really do appreciate it. I read both passages about Nils SJOSTROM in the on-line book, "50 years on the Coulee Rim". I never would have known about the book without your help. I do think that it's probably the family I'm looking for but the book doesn't give Mrs. SJOSTROM'S first name. I'll have to find more proof to be sure.

Thank you also for the link to the Alberta Genealogical Society. I haven't done any research in Canada until now and you've helped me a great deal.
Thank you again

I'm looking for information on Nils SJOSTROM (born Sweden around 1900) and his family who immigrated to Alberta, Canada in 1934. The last address I have for them is from 1947 and they lived in Donalda, Alberta, Canada at that time. Prior to that they lived in Meeting Creek, Alberta, Canada. The family consisted of Nils SJOSTROM, his wife Ottilia HOLMBERG SJOSTROM (born Sweden, January 9, 1900), and their 2 sons Karl Lennert/Leonard SJOSTROM (born Sweden December 12, 1933) & Nils Henry SJOSTROM (born Sweden). I'm not sure if Ottilia was still living in 1947. I would like to know if Nils & Ottilia are buried in Donalda. It's possible that their sons could still be alive.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello,
I'm glad to here back from you so soon. Walter Watson was my Grandfather. He imagrated from the US in 1916 to Calgary then from there lived in verious places but he is not on any of the censes here for some reason and all my older living relitives that should know anything about him don't he seems to be a mistry and my father past before I was really interested in knowing anything about my history. As for a pic. of my grandmother I shall post one for you but all I have are older years pics no young ones. I'll keep looking! :)
Ida Watson seems to be my only link to the past as even my mothers side is hard to track. They imagrated from Russia.
I shall keep trying with the relatives and post what I find.
Lila

I have found who I think is this Walter Watson in the 1885 Muscatine, Iowa census here on Ancestry.com. This same Walter was also found there in 1900. By 1909 he was in Clark County, South Dakota, where he married my gg-aunt, Ida Elizabeth Harmon. Please contact me as I'd love to swap info or to see a photo of Ida. I have photos of other members of the Harmon family.

Tracy

I can't find any records for her before she married her first husband in 1920 once she had moved to the United States. I will try the Geneaological Search from the Vital Statistics Office from the Government of Alberta in Edmonton to see if they have any records of her birth. I am hoping that her Social Security Application has her parent's names on it in the meanwhile.

Juri (George) Kello and Annie Anstal in Stettler

I was wondering if anyone could give me any more details on my husband's grandfather or point me in the next direction to find details of his family while living in Stettler.

Annie Anstal married Juri (George) Kello on 1st October 1900 at the Lutheran Church, Trey, Verskoe, Russia officiated by Reverend John Johansen.

The lived at Fayre, Russia for two years, than moved to Stettler near Calgary Canada. They had a property called Stewartwyn at Section 32 in township 37 Range 20 West of the 4th Meridian where they lived for 10 years. Juri (George) Kello was naturalized in Canada on 21/06/1909 he was 31. I have copies of the application for Homestead patent under the provisions of the "Dominion Lands Act" from the Alberta Department of the Interior 1906. Dated at Red Deer Aug 10 1909.

Juri (George) and Annie moved in 1913 to Sandy Creek via Gympie, Queensland, Australia. George divorced Annie and married my father-in-law's mother in 1935 in Gympie, Queensland, Australia.

On Juri (George) death certificate 20/12/1944 he was 65yrs and born in Rakrocre, Estonia. He had been in Australia 30 years and his parents were Martin Kello - Farmer and Annie Doem.

Letter from Eesti Ajalooarhiiv (Estonian Historical Archives) dated 11/02/2000 states

Documents of the Lutheran Church of St Jakobi (Estonian: Viru-Jaagupi) the following information:

1878 Feb 22 in Fonel (Estonian: Vohnja, Virumaa) born and March 05 Baptiz

N46 JURI KELLO*
father: Juri Mart Kello
mother: An, born Toim
godparents: Juri Kello, Juri Toim, Mai Toim

Stock 3154, Series 1, Item 5. Original in German.

*Name "Juri","Jurri" (Estonian) = "Georg" (German)

I am not sure where to go from here and would welcome any recommendations. How would I find any relations that lived in the same area that may have stayed.

Thank you in advance
Christene Kello
