Hello everyone, For clarification purposes, the child John Delaney sired was indeed Marguerite Marie Cecilia Delaney. Maggie for short. Her name was sometimes spelled Margaret. Maggie was born on November 30th 1885 and was the third child of Genevieve Missinabiskop (spelled masserdoveskap on her certificate of death at Legoff Alberta. Genevieve was the widow of Pierre Sakaw and not the wife of John Delaney.

Genevieve's parents names were Marguerite Iskwesis and Amokamik. Genevieve later married John James McFeeters (Jake) with whom she had two sons, Samuel (Sammy) and James (Jim). Genevieve had one older who was 9 at the time of the rebellion, her name is listed as Josette or Josephine or Josee or Josephette. I am unsure as to the correct one. She married a Tom or Toby Badger from the Kehewin Cree Nation.

Genevieve lived with her sons and daughter at Legoff before she passed away.

John Delaney is mentioned only as the biological father. If you watch the movie Big Bear by Wil Campbell you will understand the connection was not a historically happy one, however that is the story nonetheless.
