The Master Surname Index (not online) (mostly burials in Alberta cemeteries) of the Alberta Genealogical Society lists this one possible name;
Gilbert James MCDIARMID, - interred 29 Dec 1927
buried in the Edmonton 7 ave cemetery. His plot was paid by a Goldie May MCDIARMID, but there is no grave stone and no MCDIARMID buried near him.
Did that 1906 & 1911 census give any legal address of where in Strathcona they lived at?
There are 2 Alexander McConnell in the AGS Homestead Index that would be in the Strathcona Dist.
