Surnames: Comeau, Labonte, Lessard
The Labonte/Labounty family (as in Marie Felicite Labonte) ancestors were, of course, originally from France, then Quebec, and dispersed throughout North America. This included the US and western Canada. My grandmother's father Jerome Labonte lived in Kansas for a time before arriving in Alberta. My grandmother, Marie, married Joseph Amede Lessard (my grandfather) who was originally born and raised in Quebec but moved to Alberta and lived and worked in Oregon and British Columbia for brief periods. I have some sketchy references to both lineages that go back to the 1650's in France. For the Comeau family, I have little data but for Onesime's offsprings.
