I'm looking for descendants of Iftema (Echtima) SKOREYKO.

She married an unknown GORDEY while in Bukovina, Ukraine or Austria. Had children Anastasia (married Dmetro BILLEY), Alexander (married Rose GRECKUL), and Andriy or Andrew.

She then married Ivan BACHUR in Bukovina and had children Maria, Aneca or Anica, Wasylena who died in infancy and then another Wasylena.

Iftema and Ivan came to Canada on same ship as Anastasia and Dmetro Billey with all of their children and settled in the Wellingdon area.

Their descendants include the names: BILLEY, HUNKA, DEMCHUK, PRESIZNIUK, CHERNICHAN, KARBASHEWSKI, MELNYK, DANYLUK, KERYLUK, MYKIWKA, SHAWCHEK, EDINGER, SLUGGETT, AMENDT, MILES, NELSON, WEST, MARKHAM, GABLE, HARNACK, MYATT, SCARBOROUGH, ROSLER and DORE. I'm sure there are many others names of branches I've yet to discover.

Looking for any information on the family and would love to share information with anyone who may be related.

Mikhael GREKUL settled in Kaleland AB near Hairy Hill. Arrived in Canada circa 1896. Would like info on wife and children and where emigrated from.

Daughter Frozina married Wasyl LAKUSTA and settled in Beauvallon AB. Frozina had 13 children...Mary, Mike, John, Victor, Zanovia, Sylvester, Alexander, Onesim, Victoria, Ruth, Nestor, Wasylko (Billy) and Kathy.

Son Toeder Grekel married Lekaria LAKUSTA

Looking for information on the PLISHKA family who settled in the Myrnum area in 1906: Mykyta and Hafia, from the village of Uhryn,Halychina (my grandfather Andrew's great-uncle). Sons: Fedir and Mykyta, daughters: Anastasia, Anna, Palahia, Warwara (married into families listed above). Current generations would be my father's 2/3 cousins. Looking for info on family of Stephan and Alexandra KUCHER. The family's last name was also spelled KUTCHER and either name was used for their children. I've found seven children. Their names are: Mary (married George Billey), Mike, Metro, William, Nick, Alex and Jenny. The family lived around the Whitford, AB area.

HUNKA, Anna possibly of Willingdon area 19??-abt. 1924

I'm looking for information on Ann or Anna HUNKA who was the first wife of George M. BILLEY who lived in the Willingdon area. Only info we have on her is from family stories and cannot be verified. We were told she was a sickly woman who may have had TB or Diabetes. She moved back into her parents' home. She may have been pregnant and died either before she had the baby or during childbirth. If so, no evidence of this child has been found by our family. George was born in 1899, so we can also assume he was probably married to Anna from about 1917 to sometime before 1924 when George remarried.

Any help would be appreciated.

From her obituary I know: born abt. 1916 in Warsite (Alberta?), died on 29 Jan 1991, married Nick BILLEY in 1936, had children named Florence, Jeanette, Lawrence and James. No I dont have more info on your family. What I do have I think was given to PAISH relations of ours in NZ by one of your relations there in about 1985, but I dont know who it was as I have mislaid original letter about this. I did reply earlier and in more detail, direct to your Email address. Can I pass your name and Email address on to others in NZ researching PAISH ancestry? In theory it should be easy to take your line back further from info you now have. I wish you luck, and would be most interested to know how you get on and if our lines do eventually meet.
