In the norwegian emigration lists, it says that he was leaving for Minnesota, but we think he was going to Canada.

I've found a Thorlief Ingeberg on http://www.afhs.ab.ca/data/cemeteries/search.php
and on http://data4.collectionscanada.ca/netacgi/nph-brs?s2=&s3...

I think this must be the same man.

Where can I find more information?

Hello,

I'm looking to find information on the birthdate and birthplace (actual town) of my great grandparents - Edward and Ellen Habgood. They were in the 1891 and 1901 census for Alberta (in Namaka and Gleichen). There was a discrepancy in the birthdate for Edward between the 2 censuses. If anyone has access to the full census data could they check out dates and places for me...or if they have other data that would have this information that would be great...thanks so much.

Donna

Does anyone know the date and birth of Harry and Alice Mackenzie? When I knew them they were an older couple. Harry was at least 20 years older than his wife Alice.

Alice's maidern name was Barnwell. They had a young girl of about 6-8years who died of a disease that she should never of died with. The disease is unknown. The child's first name appears to be "Jesse"

Where "Jesse's' origin is a mystery totally.
They all lived in the Strathmore, Alberta area in the county of Wheatland. Harry doted on his wife who felt ill even if she had a slight nosebleed. There home was a one room shack void of the necessities of the typical home at that time.

Any help in this would be greatly appreciated-

M.
I am looking for distant relatives to Henry James Anderson born 1853 died 1936 and was married to Christina Henrietta Elliot. They went to Strathmore, Alberta around 1910 from Killarney, Manitoba. A daughter Katherine Amelia Anderson married Walter Edgar Eggleton and remained in Killarney, Manitoba with husband when her parents moved. Her brother Robert also remained in Killarney, Manitoba. I am doing an extensive ancestorial research as I am a distant relative to the Eggleton line. I would like to know if there is any distant relatives from the Anderson line that can help with my search for info on Katherine's parents and brothers and sisters. They went to Killarney from somewhere in Ontario before moving to Strathmore, Alberta. I am trying to find out where she was born in Ontario and am trying to find a picture of her parents as well as info on this Anderson family. I know that Henry and his wife are buried in Strathmore Cemetery and that there is a writeup in a book on he as well as a picture of him. I don't know what book but would like to have the article as well as a copy of his picture from this book if at all possible. Am also looking for death obit in newspaper of him if there is one. I have been searching for a long time and would appreciate any help that I may be able to get. Other children of Henry and Christina were Agnes J., Arthur William, George B and Frederick J. I had put a request in sometime ago but since then my email address has changed. It is now lpali@cgocable.net

We know that he died in the spring of 1949 as a result of complications from a tonsillectomy, but no one has a date. In the event someone is at the Sacred Heart Cemetary in Strathmore, could you please see if there is a date on his stone. I have checked the listings on the internet for the cemetary but they do not include actual dates, only years. Thanks so much.

Ok. I am having a very hard time finding anything about my family. So, Let s try this one. I know that Gene and his wife are on pg.s. 40 in the local history book "wherre We Crossed the creek and Settled-Rockyford" Published by the Rockyford & District History Book Society in 1980. I wanted to know if anybody knew or knows of somebody involved in the writings of this book. I would like it very much if they would talk to me. Maybe They can shed some light on the Gene taking his children to California to live with his sister, Since my (adopted) GreatGrandmother was not Gene's sister. I thank you for your help.

Daniel Howick and His Family

I am searching for information concerning Daniel Howick, the youngest son of Stephen and Eva Minehart Howick who was born in Center TWP, Mercer County, Ohio in 1857. Daniel and his second wife, Lillian "Lilly" Raudabaugh Howick lived in the Rockyford area circa 1910 to 1930's. Daniel's only son, Simeon "Sim" is also known to have lived in Rockyford, Alberta, Canada. Little is known about Ruth Howick, Daniel's only daughter after they moved from Ohio circa 1902 except that the family lived in Walla Walla, Washington in 1906. Please contact me if you have any information about their lives in Canada or wish information concerning Howick family history. Thanks, Dick Howick

Grandmothers family: Deschene

I am looking for any information on the family of Deschene and Sullivan. I know that Eugene Deschene's mother was Anna O'Sullivan Deschene, he had one sister Ella Deschene. As of 1901 the family lived in Nose Creek AB,CANADA. Gene had a wife that died in 1926, they had two children. Irene Deschene b.1924 and Russell Deschene b.1925(I don't think that the children were born in Alberta) When Gene's wife Gurtrude Deschene died in 1926 the family lived over a store called The Wishart in a town called Rockyford? Gurtrude is buried in Rosebud, the children were adopted to a family in California. Katheryn (a.k.a. Irene) was my grandmother, George(a.k.a. Russell) was her brother. Any information is wanted, please e-mail me ,thanks Bella
