Hi, Information for Registrations of Death -that comes from Essondale/Riverview/Provincial Mental Health Dept -very seldom contain all of the inforamation.
The admission records are there - information from the Doctor - or family member. The insitution - just does not check files etc - perhaps considering the information non important.
Govt Vital Statistics - should require that further information be taken from family members -
Even though James TROY - had only been in hospital for 5 days - there will be records of his admission - his 5 days in hospital - his death. If the children visited - there should be notations of the visits.
The Funeral Home in charge of Arrangements - will have further information.Depending on who made or helped with the arrangements for the funeral - they should show the names of the parents - [not every spouse - not every child ] seems to know these names - or forget at the time.
Should show the names of the children - depending on the Informant.- Date and Place of Birth of the deceased - etc.
Funeral homes - sometime get taken over by others - but the records - should follow .
