Beatrice (nee Ince) and John (Jack) Longworth were my grandparents. They were married in Chorley, Lancashire in April 1920 and moved to Bellevue, Alberta later that year. John worked in the coal mines. In the late 1940s they moved to Edmonton, Alberta and then in the early 1950s retired to Victoria, British Columbia. You have the information on Beatrice's death in 1982. John lived to the age of 97, dying in 1989. Beatrice's only sibling was a sister, Edith, who married Thomas Meadows.
Beatrice was the granddaughter of Robert Murray Ankers (b. 1846) and Mary Emma Jones (1848-1897). She was the daughter of Amy Florence Ankers (1879-1954)and William Ince (1877-1916). After William Ince died and the mother of John Longworth died, Amy Florence Ankers Ince married Robert Longworth, John Longworth's father.
Robert Murray Ankers (b. 1846) was the son of Harriet Hassells (1807-1887) and Edmund Ankers (1807-1857).
My sister and brother (who live in Edmonton, Alberta) and I--and our children--are the only surviving descendants of Beatrice and John.
Would be glad to hear from any relatives of these Ankers.
