I picked up this connection through a surname search, as I have been doing research on TROENDLES for years, and have previously corresponded with at least one of the people who submitted information on this list. Franz and Silas Troendle, of Allamakee County IA, were from a village very close to my own great-grandfather's place of birth. He was Hermann Troendle, born 1850 in Dogern, Germany - along the Rhine River. I do have some information on the Iowa immigrants as well and will have to look up old documents.
