Hi All,
Can anyone tell me what wars/engagements Canadian soldiers were given land for participating in? My family was given 3 plots of land inn Northern Ontario. Oral family history seems to believe that the land was given for participation in World War I, but I cannot seem to find anything that says land was given for war service in the first world war. The land has unfortunately since been sold and is no longer in possession of the family.

Any help or directions to information would be appreciated.
