Surnames: STEPLER, SIPPEL, HUSCHER, McDONALD, SCOTT
George STEPLER 1802-1867 & his wife Mary SIPPEL 1816-1897. Their children: Mary Polly, Kate, Elizabeth (Mrs. Charles HUSCHER) 1845-1923; Eva, Lydia, John 1853, George, Sarah "Sally" (Mrs. SCOTT of Lapeer, MI in 1923), Mary.
One daughter was Mrs. George McDONALD of Maniou, Manitoba Canada in 1923. Both John STEPLER and George STEPLER were listed as surviving their sister Elizabeth HUSCHER in her 1923 obit, both living in Manitoba, Canada.
One daughter of Elizabeth STEPLER Huscher's was named Lydia, a son named George.
I do have this Mary STEPLER family on the 1871 Canadian census, Mary a widow with four children still at home including John.
Also both George and Mary's cemetery records, and Mary's obit.
On the 1901 Canadian census John (birthdate listed as Dec 26 1853) & Eliza STEPLER, with their son Ernest A. b 13 Feb 1889, and daughter Tyoha M b 12 May 1884. It is Ernest who marries into the Harmer family, I believe. Hoping to hear from others of this family. My email will change the end of Oct. 2001 when I move!
