Suddenly at the PORTAGE LA PRAIRIE General Hospital Bert Donald age 68 years of 105 - 8th Street N.E. Portage LA PRAIRIE.
Born in Potage LA PRAIRIE he was the son of the late Mr and Mrs William Donald.He attended local PORTAGE LA PRAIRIE schools and has lived here all his life.
He was a member of St.Mary's la PRAIRIE Anglican Church.He was employed by Department of National Defense at CFB PORTAGE la PRAIRIE for over 21 years retiring in June 1969.
He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 65 PORTAGE la PRAIRIE and The Army,Navy,and Airforce Veterans Assocition Branch no.13 PORTAGE la PRAIRIE and The Prosvita Social Club.
Predeceased by his wife the former Margaret McNabb in July 1971.He is survived by one sister,one brother.Eva Donald and Stewart Donald both of PORTAGE la Prairie.Also surviving is one nephew Raymond Donald of PORTAGE la PRAIRIE and two nieces Miss Doreen Cairns and Miss Evelyn Cairns both of Winnipeg.
Funeral services will be held Saturday January 15 at 2PM in the McMaster Funeral Home with Rev.Patrick v.Lee officiating.Interment will follow in the family plot in St.Mary's Cemetery.

Funeral service for Mr.Bert Donald of PORTAGE la PRAIRIE who passed away in PORTAGE la PRAIRIE General Hospital on Wednesday January 12,1972,was held on Saturday at 2PM in the McMaster Funeral Home.
Officiating at the funeral service was Rev.P.V.Lee.Organist was Mrs v.Galbraith.There were many beautiful floral tributes.Interment was at St.Mary's Cemetery.
Flower bearers were Craig Hourie,Stanley Radomski,Michael Chiponski,and Tony Chiponski.
Pall bearers were Murray Radomski,Michael Chiponski,Gerry Moyse,Leslie Bugg, Harold Hourie and William Burke.

Mr Stewart Alexander Donald beloved husband of Mary Donald and a well known and highly respected resident of this city residing at 67 - 8th St NE passed away on Sunday July 2 1972 in St Boniface Hospital at the age of 73 years.
Born at St.Andrews,Manitoba he was the son of William Donald.He was a war veteran of World War 1,having served overseas.For 43 years he was employed at Beaver Lumber Company the latter years as manager surving in several localities until his retirement in 1966.
He was a member of St.Mary's la PRAIRIE Anglican Church of this city.He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Fawcett Taylor Branch No.65 PORTAGE la PRAIRIE and a member of The Army,Navy and Airforce Veteran's Assocition Unit 13 PORTAGE la PRAIRIE.
Predeceased by one brother Bert Donald January ,1972,one sister Ellen Cairns in 1937 he leaves to moarn his passing his wife the former Mary Bride,one sister Eva Donald PORTAGE la PRAIRIE and one nephew Raymond Donald of PORTAGE la PRAIRIE and two nieces Miss Doreen Cairns and Miss Evelyn cairns both of Winnipeg.
Funeral services conduted by Rev.P.V.Lee will be held in the chapel of the McMaster Funeral Home, Royal Road aat Dufferin Avenue on Wednesday July 5 at 3:30PM.Interment will follow in the family plot in Sty.Mary's Anglican Cemetery.

She is survived by one son Raymond Donald of PORTAGE la Prairie;two nieces,Evelyn Cairns and Doreen Cairns and one nephew Herbert Cairns all of Winnipeg.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday February 25th at 2:00PM in the Trimble Funeral Chapel with interment in St.Mary's Cemetery,PORTAGE la PRAIRIE
