If the funeral home does not get back to you I wonder if the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church on Winakwa Road where he had his funeral might know where he is buried. According to the Free Press archives Alda Burton who was the sister-in-law of Hubert died on April 14, 2000 in the St. Boniface Hospital here in Winnipeg at the age of 79.
