G.grandfather, George Walter McFarlan b. 25 Jan. 1822 in N.B. Parents possibly John and Julia McFarlan. Married Catherine MacFarlane 1852-53 in St. Patrick's Parish, Charlotte Co. They immigrated to Eureka, Humboldt Co., California via ship, arriving 1853. Could this be one of your missing links?
