I am still researching this family, but it looks like Catherines father Daniel died before 1871. Her mother appears to have remarried to a Muzzeral?, and was listed as a widow under this name in the 1901 census. Normans grandfather Eugene (Catherines brother)appears to have died before 1900. I think Norman Townsend was born about 1909, so much of this side of his family was long gone and Catherine, who was 94 when she died, may have been the only member of this side of his family still around. He may not have known much about this side of his family. A good example, my greatgrandmothers (mary Morrison) death certificate was filled out by her son in law. He stated that her fathers name was John Casey. Her marraige record in 1882 gives her fathers name as Patrick. I have a very strong hunch that her father was actualy Jeremiah Morrissey from Flume ridge, which is why I am trying to figure out catherine Sullivans connection to my Casey family who also were from Flume ridge. I have been unable to find anything about Mary morrison before her marraige to Jeremiah Casey in Cambridge, Mass. in 1882.
