Responding to your original message of July 7, 2007. I am a descendant of Thomas and Anne Sheahan. I have loads of information on the family as of 1851 to the death of the last Sheahan in 1959, my grandmother Catherine a.k.a. Katie Sheahan Byrnes). The family once they came to Quebec settled in Old Chelsea, P.Q. and were parishioners at St. Stephen's RC Church. Lots of info on family in church records. Thomas' wife Ann's maiden name was Brean, I believe, and she died in Chelsea in 1894. Added to the list of children you mentioned is my great grandfather, Peter Sheahan born in Chelsea in 1855 and married to Emma Fulford in 1882, of Chelsea as well.

Would love to share my info on the Sheahan family but would have to get my husband to help me to do so. Are you a descendant? Can you send to me what information you have on the family!!! I live in Toronto.

I have struggled to find the arrival of Thomas and Ann through TheShipsList website but it has been a futile effort so far. However, I believe they brought two children from Ireland with them to Canada, Daniel and James, noted on the 1851 Canada Census.

HOPE THIS REACHES YOU Jane. Gail Marie
