Suzanne, try Dan John's site at the PANB site. Go to 'Full-Text Search". Search for "Milkish" with the quotation marks. You get things like:

d. 21st inst., Wm CHARLTON, age 86, resident of Milkish (Kings Co.) for last 60 years, formerly a native of Tyrone, Ireland, left four daughters, one son, thirty grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. Funeral Thursday 2 o'clock from his son-in-law's, John HUTCHINGS, residence Milkish Island.

James TAYLOR, laborer of Pokiok, Portland (St. John) left Millidgeville Sunday morn, with the intention of crossing the Kennebecasis on the ice to Milkish Island. No one on Milkish Island has seen him and he has been missing from home ever since.

There are 27 pages of stuff.
