I have recently learned that we have Morton and Wilson ancestors who lived in Pine Ridge, Weldford Parish, Kent, NB. If I've understood the online census information correctly our line is:
John T Morton, (1853-??) (son of John Morton & ???) married Margaret Wilson (1852-??) (daughter of James Wilson and Agnes Morton).
The second daughter of John and Margaret (Wilson) Morton was Annie LT Morton (1880-1911) who married Walter Leonard Hadley in Boston in 1900. They had at least three children, the eldest of which was my maternal grandmother, Hazel Maria Hadley. Annie died in Massachusetts in 1911, and today I found a record of her widower, Walter, marrying her younger sister, Margaret Victoria Maud Wilson in 1912, in Kent County.
If you can share any information about these families, we would appreciate it. From what I can see online, the earliest birth record for this couple is Margaret in 1890 – but per the census, they had at least five children before Margaret. Are there church records in the area that might provide birth or baptism records? Again per the census, the family was Presbyterian.
Thanks for your help,
