Hello,
I am looking for more information on possible Loyalist settlers of Kent Co. - Found on the Island Register is Muster Rolls for King's Rangers, disbanded members etc. and at the UEL site a bit more info is found but establishing the relationship between known Loyalists on those records and people who received land grants in Kent Co. prior to 1818 has been quite a challenge - I can't even seem to locate these people known to be born in PEI or NS with anyone else at those locations. Surnames I'm researching include Campbell, Thompson, Roberts, Smith, Stymiest, Young, Brown, Bryant, MacDougall, Graham, Betts, Simpson/Timpson, MacGregor, Little, Lawson among others found in Weldford Parish. Maybe they were not even Loyalists.... but, I can't seem to connect them anywhere else.... Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Elaine
