You mention "proof" of a Jean MADORE b. abt 1765. What is the evidence of his birth date? Where was he born? Who was the mother of his sons? I looked for the MADORE and LABOURLIERE surnames at the PANS site but they do not appear before 1755. Thus, there is every reason to think they emigrated after that date. However, I cannot find a Jean MADORE born about 1765 in Quebec.

There is only one person in Quebec who ever appears in the certificates with the name LABOURLIERE dit MADORE and that is Jean Baptiste LABOURLIERE dit MADORE who was married to Marie OUELLET. His name only appears that way on the burial record of his son Jean Baptiste (18 mos. old) at Kamouraska on 1792-04-04. He married (2) Marie Anne OUELLET on 1784-11-08 at Kamouraska using the name LABOURLIERE dit LAPLANTE and all of his other occurances in the certificates are under that name. His previous marriage was to Marie Genevieve PELLETIER. This Jean Baptiste was the son of Augustin LABOURLIERE dit LAPLANTE and Marie Anne MICHAUD (his sister Marie is one of my ancestors). There is no birth record for this man, only two marriage records. His descendancy is from the immigrant Jacques LABOURLIERE and Francoise FERRANDE of France.
