Wondering if anyone has done any research themselves containing Whitehead BARKER?

Am doing the BURPEE part of my tree and have that Elizabeth BURPEE, daughter of Jeremiah and Betsy (STICKNEY) BURPEE, married Whitehead S BARKER 14 Nov 1822. Information for this family in the book The STICKNEY Family by Matthew A STICKNEY lists they had two sons, Archibald and Enoch, and that William died in 1834. No death information was listed for Elizabeth, that I remember. Does anyone know where this family went to after the death of Whitehead S BARKER, if he did indeed die in 1834?

I found another Whitehead S BARKER in the 1851 census in Sheffield with his wife Elizabeth and children, one of whom is named Archibald. There is a ten year age gap between the first two children. The youngest daughter(Amy)of this Whitehead BARKER married Hon. Archibald HARRISON, grandson of Jeremiah BURPEE. My assumption is that the Elizabeth in the 1851 census is Elizabeth TURNEY, (as Amy's middle name was TURNEY) who married a Whitehead BARKER in 1837.

What I am wondering is if the Whitehead S BARKER listed in the 1851 census is the same Whitehead BARKER who married Elizabeth BURPEE in 1822 and it was HER that died in 1834, not him, and then he remarried to Elizabeth TURNEY in 1837. This could account for the age gap between the first two children listed in the census. I thought there was mention of this family in the book "The History and Genealogy of the Jewetts of America" by Frederic JEWETT, but no longer have access to it to go back and see if there was mention of if and where the family relocated.

Any assistance would be most appreciated.
