I recommend the book "Tsunami" by Maura Hanrahan. It describes all the coves and talks about the Hilliers, Hipditch and others that some mentioned here.
Another good book is The History of Burin, but that one is probably available only in Burin, but you might be able to order it through the Burin Heritage House.
My research names are Jarvis, Riggs, Brown, Reid, Hollett, Brushett. I guess I could name them all as after a while all the families were related.
