Dorothy Bungay's father -- Abraham Bungay married to Elizabeth Keeping – Children: Dorothy, Alphonsus and Blanche. Blanche died while young from an appendix rupture. Abraham Bungay,
drowned at St. Pierre, Dec.26, 1913. (27 years of age)
Abraham’s brother -- Morgan James Bungay married to Susan Skinner – Children: Martina (Dorothy Marche’s mother), Hilda (Junior Benoit’s mother), and Mick (Jennie Abbott’s father),
Sam (drowned at age 16), and Ann (crib death).
Abraham’s sister -- Melinda (Lynn) Bungay married to Ben Martin -- no children. Nanny went to live with them for awhile in Miller’s Passage.
Abraham’s brother – Michael Bungay was a bachelor. Drowned at St. Pierre, Dec.26, 1913
Abraham’s brother -- John Bungay married to Dianne Skinner – Children: Edward (Ned) and Ellen (Lillian). Edward (Ned) married Mary Lambert – Children: John, Gerald, Bessy (O’Gorman), Ethel (Cochrane) and Richard (Dick) . Ellen (Lillian) married Simeon John Skinner and had nine children. Ellen (Lillian) died at the age of 48. Of her nine children, two are still living.(Ernest Skinner and Sarah Elizabeth (Bessy) Strowbridge).
Abraham’s sister -- Ellen Bungay married to William Dick Martin (brother to Ben who had married Lynn) – Children: George, Morgan, Mike, Phonse, Jack, Annie and Sarah.
Abraham’s sister -- Louise (Doll) Bungay was married twice. First to George Skinner and second to George Bungay – Children: Leo, George, Martha, Sam and one other (name unknown).
Nanny’s mother was a Elizabeth Keeping. Elizabeth’s parents were William Keeping and Selina Edwards from Lawn on the Burin Peninsula. William and Selina’s children were; Ben, Elizabeth, William , Bridget and Marguerite.
Ben Keeping died at age 19.
Elizabeth Keeping married Abraham Bungay – Children: Dorothy (Max Snow), Phonse (Minnie Drake) and Blanche who died at a young age.
William Keeping (2nd) married Philomena Sheppard – Children: William (3rd) (died at age 19), Ethel (died at age 6) and Marguerite;( married Aloysius Drake). She used to visit Maxie.
Bridget Keeping married Morgan Snook -- children were Gertrude, Angela and Vincent and maybe more.
Marguerite Keeping married a Hutton from St.John’s. After he died, Marguerite married a Frenchman and went to live in Quebec. Marguerite had no children.although she adopted a daughter.
