Very Old RC,Quaker, etc. Burials in Anglican Churchyard,Placentia
I have a similar topic listed on this same page under Anglican Cemery,Placentia....and I may have given the wrong idea. I am N OT looking for Anglicans in that churchyard cemetery, but specifically anyone named GREEN , or Greene, buried around 1829 or much earlier. Until at least 1786,people of all religions were often buried in the Anglican cemetery. Most of the headstones have fallen over and been buried, and of course some were just wooden crosses.
In my case,I know my GGG-GF,John Green and his brother Robert were buried there(Quakers) and their father Michael Green and presumably their mother, probably other Greens/Greenes,all of whom would be my ancestors.
At least one of the headstones was still standing and readable about 1930-40 era,but no longer visible.
Does anyone know anything about the name Green in this cemetery,or possibly have old photos taken before,say,1950,which may possibly show the headstones?
Thanks.Ward.wardgreene@hotmail.com
