Re: STRICKLAND/STICKLAND
I have Harriet as being born to William and Fanny Strickland 1828/9 on Isla aux Morts and baptised by Edward Wix Oct. 1830 at Deadman's Bay, Grand Island.
Interestingly there are 2 Stricklands on the 1900 USA census of Lummi Island, Washington. Both were born in Newfoundland. They are;
George Strickland b. abt 1851 and Alberta E.Strickland b. 1883.
Interseting because they are working at a small fishery where Alexander Butt, of Newfoundland, also worked and Alexander was the husband of Clara Poole Butt who was the daughter of Harriett(Strickland) & John Poole
