doing lots of research lately...my findings are:
my great grandfather is Edward Russell, he was married to a lady named Jemima Stickley, who died September, 1919, buried in Catalina, NL. They had several children, Jack, John, Mary, Annie, Elizabeth, and I cannot remember the rest of the names. After Jemima died, Edward remarried and his new wife put the children out to orphanages. So my grandfather George was raised by a Firmage Family, and Mary was sent to an orphanage in St. John's. John married Margaret, they had a son named Sonny, moved to Boston, MA, where Sonny became an RC Priest and was known as Father Joe. Jack was born in New Jersey from what I know.
Jack died about 10-15 years ago from bowel cancer, George died around 1988 from pancreatitis, Mary died last year from Parkinsons. Joe died several years ago in the USA from a heart attack.
Jemima's parents where Stephen and Johanna Stickley. This is all I know so far...well, I know more about the stickley clans, but am trying now to find ANY information on the Russell side of things.
