Hi I have read your postings with interest,whats been posted is correct,I have never read the Coulton Cronicles all my research was with the records at Devon,for your interest the Coakers married into the Coultons a second time with Marys brother William Coaker marrying Mary Coulton ,Richards sister on 11- Aug-1787 from parish records, in the IGI the date is 14-Aug -1787,with regard where the Coultons came from,my only thoughts are that like the Coakers they were a respected Devon family who may have come from Widecombe in the Moor which is where the Coakers came from before Rattery suggest you use the IGI on the name and get a bigger picture.
