Clarkes of Hearts Desire. I was looking at your post on Clarkes from Scotland..Stating that three Clarke brothers came to Newfoundland, one being William ? who were the other two brothers? My Clarkes came from the Hearts Desire area of Newfoundland. As far as I can tell the father was a John Clarke and son being a George Clarke born 1844 in Hearts Desire, Two sons of George of 1844was Joseph John Clarke, born 1890 and a George Clarke. This Joseph Clarke married a Sarah Drover from Whitbourne, NL.
