Looking for info on my grandmother, she was born to Frances jane Frampton and Charles Strickland April 1893. Her grand parents would have been John Frampton and Jane Musseau.

She later married Thomas Savory, she was born in Mouse island and buried in Channel/Port Aux Basque. Nfld.

I am told that great grandmother was of indian descent as was my granfather Thomas Savory ...how can I find out if these facts are correct as Nfld was not part of Canada at their time of birth where would the records be kept.
