Hello,
Would anyone be researching the above family names?
My ancestor Charlie GREEN was born @1853 in Sandy Point, Bay St George (the 1945 census gives his age as 92). He married Marie Louise AUCOIN, d/o Constant AUCOIN + Marcelline LEBLANC. I'm stuck on Charlie's line. I understand his parents were Pierre PLEVERT + Marie Louise LEJEUNE. I've looked for references to the PLEVERT line in both NFLD and Nova Scotia, yet so far haven't uncovered much other than the birth of a Marie Louise 15 Oct 1850 to parents Pierre PLEVER + Marie Louise.
I have a book by B. Arsenault which refers to the family name of LEVERT in the settlement of Cheticamp... and began wondering if the name GREEN was anglicized from LEVERT rather than PLEVER/T. Would anyone have any knowledge of the LEVER line, or its connection to the GREEN surname?
Regards, and thank you,
Susan
