Hi Cyril,
I got the name wrong-it's Augustine, not Augustus, right?
Are you referring to info from Don Bennett's book? Those were MacIsaacs from Moidart, Scotland mainly. I did not find anything to link to my family so I think that my MacIsaacs came from Canna originally. I have been told that MacIsaacs moved back and forth between Little River and Grand River. Some intermarried, which makes it very complicated to sort out who's who.
I'll look through my stuff too, to see if I come across the name Augustine. If you haven't found him by now, there's a good chance he's related to my MacIsaacs. Mary MacIsaac had 9 brothers. How many came to Nfld, I don't know..... Also you might be looking for a brother or some other close relation to Daniel MacIsaac or Catherine MacIsaac(brother and sister) and first cousin to Mary.
I'll keep the name in mind as I look and email you if I find a connection.
