Hi Folks,
With referance to the MacIsaac famlies of Codroy. There were 2 families both related back in Scotland but on lived in Cape Breton, Inveness for some time and moved to Newfoundland as many cathic Scots did, settling mostly arround St Geoge's Bay but there were also a group that settled near the little Codroy River. The other family decendents of John MacIsaac and Margaret Kennedy of scotland who passed through Inverness but were from Scotland, in fact a couple of there children such as Sarah b. 1832 who married Dennis Ryan was born in Scotland also. I may have more if anyone is interested.
I am interested in an Augustine MacDonald who married Julia LeMoine b 1850. He was said to have come from Cape Breton and may have been a sea captain. They lived in Codroy for a short time before moving to Port au Port, I was thinking they were related to the other MacDonald from Codroy as it seems to me that one of the other MacDonalds was a wittness at a baptism.
