Looking for information in the coachman's cove area for William Breen (m. Anne Warrick)b 1834. Their children inc my gg grandmother Bridget Breen. Also for Michael Walsh (maybe the first in family to come to CC.) All I know is he may be the father of my gg grandfather Joseph Walsh(m. Elizabeth Downey). Any info on these families would be appreciated.

am seeking information on John Butler(GGFather) can not find any info on him except knowing that he was 1 of the first settlers in Brent's cove newfoundland in 1871...i have no idea where he cam frm...i know that he had brothers Thomas. and Anthony...whom also settled here...all three had died at young ages...my gg father died when he was 53, thomas,33, anthony 29...I have collected alot of info on my gg mather mary elizabeth flynn...from kings cove newfoundland...she was the daughter of James flynn and margerat magrath....i am hoping that maybe someone who is also researching someone of this family may have some info they could share with me...i have everything on that family back as far as 1787..

Looking for info on Sarah Matilda Elliot Swisher born October 7, 1876, in Pacquet Newfoundland. Her Mother's name was Mary Elliot and she had 12 brothers and sisters. She immigrated to Kokomo, Indiana in June of 1908 wher she lived until she died in 1969.

I'm looking for the maiden name of my husband's ggmother's mother. The ggmother is SELINA GALE daughter of William GALE & Elizabeth ?. We know that Selina was born at Pumbley Cove in 1864. Don't know the date of birth but Selina had a twin sister, Sophia and they were received into the church on April 24th, 1864.

Also, looking for info. on the marriage of William GALE & Elizabeth; as well as Alexander HEWITT & Selina GALE.

I'm trying to find out more about my father roots in newfoundland he is suspose to be MicMac, all I know so far is that he was born in 1928 in White Bay his mother Catherine Jacobs was born 1911 his father Walter Andrews was born in 1901, His grandmother Sarah Rich who was Micmac was born in Hauling NFLD in 1876 and grandfather Stephen Jacobs 1877.
Sarch Rich's father was Jim Rich he was MicMac when he was born and where in NFLD I don't know and what tribe I don't know.

Anyone know this family? I am from the line of John Peter Power who married Clara Adams in New Brunswick. I have very little on the Power side of the family. 19th Century Family Photos - Atwood and GALE

Hello!

I have in my possession a family photograph album, containing eight identified family members from the Atwood/Gale and Moore families. Photographer's information on the backs of some of the images show locations in New York/New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

The Atwood family images are all tintypes and include the following names: Rhoda Atwood Gale/Della Gale Moore/Etta Atwood and James and Emma Atwood. There are thirteen images in this album total, the rest being CDV images (cartes de visite) which appear to be from the late 1860's.

This album is from the estate of my late grandfather, Clyde Hubbard Wood (1889 to 1984) of Randolph County, NC. This album was sent to him by a distant family member before WW I. I have no further information regarding the album's previous ownership.

I am selling this album, as I am clearing out the estates of my father and grandfather.

I am trying to track down some information on my ancestors. My father is Leyman OSMOND his parents was Robert OSMOND (b Hampton 1907-d Baie Verte1977) wife Dorcass RICKETTS (1918-1959) . Roberts parents was Basil (spelled Osbourne for some reason) b March 17, 1877 Hampton White Bay died ?. His wife Leah DAVIS-no info. Basil's parents was George OSMOND b 1844 Hampton and died 1903. Looking for the family of my granfather's brothers. They were :
William JEWELL 1871, George Joseph JEWELL 1975, Alfred JEWELL 1880, all born in Brighton UK.
Two of them emigrated to Canada and one to Australia.
I have 3 PHOTOS from CANADA, showing a Jewell with children,
among which 2 boys born about 1950 + Debbie born about 1954-55, a marriage photo of Clara (Jewell descent) + Ken (her husband) dated about 1960. These dates are approx.

Sometimes, young people do not know their gran'mother's maiden name, n even neither their mother's ! Ask any JEWELL but also any DEBBIE, CLARA, KEN (or their children) you know, please ...
It could be you, your parents or somebody you know ..

McAlpine's Directory (1894-97) lists among the residents of Duggan's Cove, White Bay, a William Abraham (fisherman). However this man is not listed in the same Directory for 1898. Is there someone who could shed some light on this puzzle for me i.e. where is Duggan's Cave? What happened to William Abraham? Who were his family and was he married, and to whom?

My area of research is on the west coast of Nfld. but I have reason to believe that some of the families I am researching settled in the White Bay area.

My husbands grandfather was Brien O'Connell born abt. 1860. He was married twice, name of first spouse unknown but there were two children from first marriage,Mary Ellen married Ambrose Drover and Alphonsus [Phonse] married ? I believe Phonse may have had a son Jack who lived in Baie Verte but I have no data on him. I do have some information on Phonses daughters but I need to have it verified by someone who knows, preferably a family member. I am hoping that someone out there may have birth or marriage records for this first family.

Brien's second marriage was to Mary Ann Moss.Their children were Jack, William and Catherine and a Michael who was killed in the Tilt Cove Mines at the age of 21. I can't find any record for Michael except that I know he existed because of first hand knowledge from his brother William.

Brien O'Connell apparently lived in Brents Cove but according to the Birth Record For William he must have been living or working in Tilt Cove at the time of William's birth. I have searched the Tilt Cove birth records but no records can be found there for William but I was able to locate records at the Provincial Archives in St. John's.

Maybe the children or grandchildren Of Mary Ellen and Ambrose Drover might have some knowledge of Briens famiy. I must search every source available.

Brien's children moved to Bishop's Falls, Nfld but somehow the name changed to Collins. This is why it is so important that I find birth place and birth records for Brien O,Connell and marriage records. I could probably obtain them from the Provincial Archives if I knew where Brien was born or if that was his real name for sure.

If anyone has any information or is connected to this family please get in touch with me.
