I am hoping someone out there is researching the Morrison's from Hillside (Marion Bridge)Cape Breton.I am looking for any information on Ewen born 1826 in Scotland who married Jessie MacDonald. Ewen died on Dec.15,1916,,Jessie died on Jan.20 ,1917. Their oldest son Hugh born 1855 took over the farm.Hugh married Sarah(MacKeigan) MacLellan widow of Archie MacLellan from Mira Big Ridge in Jan ,1891.Sarah and Hugh had 1 child ,Mary born in Dec. 1891.Hugh died in May 1934 .We don't know what happened to Sarah and Mary.
Ewen had at least 2 brothers that are known.John born in 1821 in Scotland and William who died before 1863.Ewen,William and John lived in the same area in Hillside. We haven't yet been able to find out who Ewen's parents were who came to Mira in 1828 .Any information would be greatly appreciated.
