Luc Melanson died 08-Jan-1937 at Comeauville. On death record, DOB listed as 21-Nov-1866.
It would appear he was the son of Marc Mellanson and Helene Robichaud. His wife was listed as Marte Boudreau. His son, Leo, was the informant. Luc was buried 10-Jan-1937 at Church Point.

Mary Marthe (Boudreau) Melanson, d. 12-Apr-1942, Little Brook Station, Digby Co. Her listed DOB was 08-Mar-1869, she was widowed (naturally), the daughter of Maxime L. Boudreau and Colombe Maillet.
She was also buried Church Point (14-Apr-1942). Her son, Alphie, was the informant.

Marie Arsene Gedry b. 11-Nov-1901, Meteghan, Digby Co, NS.
Parents listed as Moise Gedry and Juliette Gedry.

Joseph Marc Melanson married Marie Arsene Geddry (Geddy on transcription), Meteghan Church, Clare Mun., Digby Co, NS on 11-Oct-1921. He was 29, b. Little Brook Station, to Luc Melanson, born same, and Marie Marthe Boudreau. She was 20, b. Meteghan, Digby Co, d/o Moise Geddry b. Metethan, and Juliette Geddry.

In 1871 census, Luc/Luke's father, Marc, is 66, his mother Hellen M. is 43. She is 53 and widowed by 1881 census. Luc had a brother, Constan William, b. @1858, both are with their mother in 1881. and brother is gone by 1891, when Luc is HoH with new wife, Mary M. aged 22, and his mother, then 63 and obviously still widowed. Census records from Clare and Church Point in Digby Co, NS. His father, Marc, b. @1805, MAY be the one found in Clare Township as early as 1838. In that record, thre were eight in his household! He, his wife (first wife, I'd presume, IF the right Marc) 2 boys under 6, 1 girl under 6, and 3 males 6-14.

He'd have been 33, so having six children would have been quite possible. In that 1838 census, over in Digby, there was an earlier Luc Melanson, with 5 in his home.

Another variant for Jeddry/Geddry is Joudrey, though the GED and JED with any form of DRY DRIE RIE REY RY RE afterwards seem more prominent in Digby County in the late 19th century.

More often seen as MOSES GEDRE, we find him in 1871, aged 6, son of Jean Joseph, aged 45 and Pricilla M., aged 42. With them in 1881, now aged 15, then, in 1891, aged 26, he is listed as married to "July", aged 24.

Many others in that household of Jean Joseph's! The matching "July" is listed as Julite Gedre in 1871 and 1881 aged 4 and 14, respectively. She was d/o Superien Gedre aged 55 in 1871 and 67 in 1881, and Elizabeth, aged 46 in 1871 and 56 in 1881, widowed and 67 by 1891 (so Superian died 1881-1891).

Moses Jeddry d. 15-Nov-1944 at St. Alphonse, Digby Co, NS. He was listed b. 30-Aug-1866, s/o "John" Jeddry and Pricille Durgin??? He was listed as widowed, his son, Freeman was informant. He was buried in St. Alphonse, on 17-Nov-1944.

Hope some of the above is helpful to you!
