Sorry this took so long. I do family research in short bursts but finding your query about John Nye has rekindled another burst. I too am directly related to John and was only able to locate his marriage record from 1797. I never could find anything further and seeing his birth date does open the door to new possibilities. I do have info of the Nyes more recent as they made their way into New Brunswick and Maine.
