I am also a descendant of Zadock Benett several ways. I will address your query about the children of Lemuel Rogers and Phoebe Bennett:
Lemuel R. Rogers (s/o Lemuel Rogers and Eunice BENNETT) was b. abt 1792 in Cornwallis Twp. Kings Co., NS and d. 14 Sep 1849.
He married Phoebe BENNETT on 27 Feb 1812. She was b. abt 1790 in Horton Twp., Kings Co., NS (d/o of George BENNETT and Hanah WINSLOW) and d. 14 Oct 1865 in Scott's Bay, Kings Co., NS.
They had ten children:
1. Nathaniel Rogers b. 14 Dec 1812 and d. 15 Dec 1820
2. Rebecca Rogers b. 5 Feb 1814 and d. 4 Jan 1815
3. Daniel Rogers b. 14 Nov 1816 and d. April 1893
4. Elizabeth Rogers b. 29 Apr 1818 and d. 11 Feb 1819
5. Eunice Jane Rogers b. 23 Dec 1820 and d. 23 Mar 1893; m. James Henry THORPE
6. James Henry Rogers b. 29 Jun 1822 and d. 2 Jan 1911; m. Harriet Amelia TUPPER
7. Mary Ellace Rogers b. 12 Jun 1825 and d. 9 Mar 1882; m. (1) James "Edward" BENNETT and (2) Nathan PARRISH.
8. Ruby Rogers b. 3 Jun 1828 and d. 1 Dec 1878; m. William "Henry" McDONALD (Ruby is my 2nd great-grandmother)
9. John Lemuel Rogers b. 23 Mar 1831 and d. 1920; m. Maria Coffin WATSON
10. William N. ROGERS b. abt 1834 and d. 5 Sep 1871; m. Prudence STEELE.

So there you have it,your two children has been increased to 10! I have plenty on the descendants of Ruby Rogers and Henry McDonald, I've been working on a genealogy of their son (and my great-grandfather) William "Dickson" McDonald for awhile now.
