Just to answer my own question (should it help anyone here) I discovered through death and marriage certificates that William H. Young was the son of Hibbert Young and Sophia Bryzelius. It's possible he was born in 1851 rather than 1852.
I would be very interested in hearing from more Young and Bryzelius family members.
