JAMES BEATTIE
PICTOU, Nov. 10 - James BEATTIE died at his home at Malagash after a brief illness, according to word received here today. He was born at Pictou 76 years ago, in 1872, and was a son of the late Robert BEATTIE and Margaret Webster BEATTIE. Surviving are two sons, George, in Alberta and Gordon, Malagash; and five daughters, Jean, (Mrs. Howard) Brooklyn, N.Y.; Barbara Drumheller, Alta.; Clara (Mrs. Chittick) Drumheller; Eva (Mrs. Hackett), High River, Alta.; Marjorie (Mrs. Stewart) Malagash. Mr. Beattie's wife, who was formerly Miss Anna B. MacKenzie, predeceased him several years ago.
