Earl Francis Hayes, 57, Baileys Brook, formerly of Point Tupper, Richmond County, died Tuesday, Oct. 21 in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Point Tupper, he was a son of the late Daniel and Alice (Lelacheur) Hayes. He was a member of St. Joseph's parish, Port Hawkesbury. He is survived by his wife, the former Martha Munroe; two sisters, Mrs Ruby Dixon and Eileen (Mrs Clyde Malcolm), both of Port Hawkesbury; two brothers, Danny and Collie, both of Port Hawkesbury; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by an infant son; four brothers, John, Harold, Michael and Charles; two sisters, Lillian and Mary Alice. Funeral service was held on Friday in St. Joseph's Church, Port Hawkesbury, Rev. Regis Halloran officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery. Donations may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart Foundation or St. Joseph's parish building fund.
