I am looking for any information on my ancestors John Carter
(died bef 1855) and his wife Catherine McGarth/McGrath/McGarath. Their son James Carter ( b.1826 or 1831) married Sarah Mckay in 1855 in the Holy Guardian Angel Church in L'Ardoise, Cape Breton.
I would be be gratefull for any information or suggestions for further research, since I have run out of leads to track down. I'll be happy to share what I have on James & Sarah's descendants.
