Surnames: Murphy, McNeil, Kanary, Canary
I'm looking for information on these brothers and sisters- John J., Mary and Sam J Murphy. They were born in Victoria Co., Cape Breton, children of John Murphy and Annie (Mary?) McNeil. (The senior John would have been born in Newfoundland, son of Thomas Murphy and Bridget Kanary.) Their parents died very young. John died in 1864, his wife died previous to him. The children would have been very young at the time and I think they may have been brought up by another family member and eventually went to the U.S. There is a John Murphy in Beverly, MA in 1900 and this could be one of the children.
