Evening parties are the order of the day for both old and young.

Mr. W. Blauvelt, who is working in Yarmouth is spending a few days at his home.

Miss Agnes Hilton has gone to Yarmouth for a few weeks.

The officers of Rossignol Lodge, I. O. G. T., were installed last Tuesday night by Mr. James Durkee, L.D., as follows:

Apr. 21st

Miss C. Killam of Yarmouth, visited Miss J. Ryerson last week.

Mr. L. Ring of Kemptville visited his cousin, Miss Maude Normandy one day last week.

Miss M. Moses of Hebron, paid a flying visit here recently.

Miss Jennie Ryerson gave a party to the young folks of this village on the eve of the 17th. All expressed themselves as having spent a very pleasant evening.

Mr. A. Sweeney is passing through this village with Dickie & McGrath's logs.

Mr. James Phillips and daughter, Mrs. Geo. Adams, spent the 12th and 13th with Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Uhlman.

Mar. 31st

Mrs. Otawaya, of Halifax, is visiting at Mrs. F.G. Annis'.

Miss McLeod of Argyle is visiting her cousin, Miss Laura Annis.

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Earle on the arrival of a son.

The ladies of the Presbyterian church gave a pie social in the hall on the 24th. The sum of $14 was realized.

Mrs. D.O. McKay is visiting her mother, Mrs. Mary Miller.

Miss Ethel Corning, of Yarmouth, is visiting her cousin, Miss Jessie Miller.

Mr. T.H. Uhlman left on the 26th for New Tusket to take charge of Dickie & McGrath's logs.

The Sunday school, assisted by the choir of the Baptist church, gave an Easter concert Sunday afternoon. The program was as follows:

Prelude. Opening remarks
