Mike as in the second message one of the book on the Champlain collection is Colin Robertson's correspondence book, September 1817 to 1822 page 219-220 has a bio for John Hodgson born 1763 London- it is just one of quite a bit of information on the site in different books.
Mentions family but not who his wife was in that bio anyway.
