Wm was the son of Adam Hilker and Sarah Hinds born abt 1863 in the Saugeen. he married Marie Colemen in 1887. After the death of an infant son in 1888, there is no additional info on Wm and his wife Maria.

His father Adam Hilker died in 1885 and his mother remarried in 1889 to John Foster of Grey Co. Noting the son Wm was not a witness to her marriage.
