Not much from me tonight, it was interesting to follow through your research.

From the birth record of Robert Edward WILLIAMS (s/o John WILLIAMS & Eliza HALL) it shows the informant's (father in this case) residence as Lot 22 Concession 11 Artemesia. This is what I found:

Crown 1858 - John HALL
N-1/2 - no HALL names
S-1/2 - William HALL, other names

I don't have access to the detailed property records, I just have the summary that is in the Artemesia book - Split Rail Country.

I haven't found where the German WILLIAMS family was living in 1861, but it wasn't too close. Maybe with a smaller population, it just looks like they were neighbours from the 1861 census.
