I'm looking for information on John Edgar Scott who was born in Scotland and died in South Mountain. More specifically, I'm looking for information about his parents and anything prior to his arrival in Canada.
His parents were James Scott and Mary Johnston and it appears that at least John Edgar and his sister Grace came to Canada in about 1864/65. John Edgar and Grace lived with a Johnston family in South Mountain after their arrival. I suspect that it is his grandmother Mary Johnston and an uncle (plus his family). I am wondering if this Mary Johnston is Mary Grisela Irving. John Edgar later married Amelia Berry. Any information would be appreciated.
