I wonder whether there is a mixup / error in the transcription of burials in the Rodney Cemetery and hope someone can sort this out for me.
I finally found my gggrandfather in Ontario death records, but he is not listed as buried with his second wife and teenage daughter in the Rodney Cemetery:
Ontario Canada Deaths, 1869 - 1934 Elgin, Aldborough pg 78
HOTHAM, Thomas, record #007748, died January 25, 1899. Resided in Rodney. [transcribed as Hotham, Thoms]
The Rodney cemetery lists:
HOTHAM, Christina (second wife)
HOTHAM, Clara E. (daughter)
HOTHAM, Donal ????
I don't find this "Donal" in onine records. Could someone please check whether this is actually Thomas, born about 1825, or whether it is perhaps a son who died young?
Also, does anyone have access to obituaries from this time period? I do a large amount of volunteer lookups for people here in the States, but don't have access to newspaper microfilm from Canada via interlibrary loan.
Any help most appreciated.
Beth
