Surnames: Calvert, Adams, Clutton, Miers
I just read your message. I am related to Annetta Calvert. Her mother, Maria(h) was the d/0 of James Adams and Susannah Powers. Maria was first married to Jonathan William clutton (Dec. 21, 1854 in Malahide Twp.)He died from injuries he incurred in a buggy accident (Mar. 10, 1855). At the time, Maria was expecting and she delivered a son, September 19, 1855, whom she named after his father, Jonathan William Clutton. Maria then married Joseph Calvert, April 13, 1858 in Malahide Twp. Annetta (Netty) was born abt. 1862.
I found the death of Maria Calvert as March 1915 in Marion, Montgomery Philadelphia Pennsylvania and buried in Westminster Cemetery there. The 1910 US census gives Annetta as Annetta Miers born 1863 Canada, d/o Marie Calvert residing in Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa. Ward 20, immigrated 1896, widowed.
There is no Joseph buried with Maria in Philadelphia but there is a Joseph Calvert buried in Dorchester Union Cem. in Middlesex Co. and I am wondering if that might be him. Perhaps he died and then Maria went to live with her daughter in the States. There are Meyers, spelled differently in bayham Twp. also.
